BEAST【TAPE】- Ameel Brecht

ブリュッセルの実験バンド Razen のギタリストとしても活動している Ameel Brecht による、睡眠にインスパイアされたコンポジション・シリーズ「BEAST」。同国のアンビエント専科 Dauw のサブ·レーベル blickwinkel から2025年6月に70本限定でリリースされた作品です。最終巻となる本作では"眠りのない状態"に焦点を当て、熱に浮かされている時に見る夢に似た、靄がかったようなローファイなアンビエント·ドローン6曲を収録。眠ることなく、休むことなく、夢を見ることなく、私たちは何を経験するのでしょうか？非現実の空虚なサウンドスケープが冴え渡る1本です。

BEAST is a series of sleep-inspired compositions by Ameel Brecht, who also plays guitar in the Brussels experimental band Razen. This work was released in June 2025 in a limited edition of 70 pieces on blickwinkel, a sub-label of Dauw, a Brussels-based ambient label. This final volume focuses on the “sleepless state” and includes six lo-fi ambient drones with a hazy haze, similar to the dreams we have when we are floating in a fever. What do we experience without sleep, without rest, without dreams? A brilliant soundscape of unreal emptiness!
