Rezzett の片翼としても知られ、Jahtari、Honest Jon's、EM Records などから作品をリリースしてきた Tapes こと Jackson Bailey。彼が J. Bailey 名義で Good Morning Tapes から新作をリリース！本作は、彼のパートナーである芸術家 Maria Ader によるフード･スカルプチャー展「BÉTON BRUT」のために制作されたオリジナル･サウンドトラックです。これまでの Tapes 作品で見られたダブの要素は影を潜め、心が洗われるような約1時間の環境音楽を展開しています。音数は削ぎ落とされているものの、聴き手のイマジネーションを膨らませる表現力豊かなサウンドが特徴で、シルクのように柔らかく美しい FM シンセサイザーの音色から、神秘的で厳かな空気感へと、なめらかに表情を変えていきます。

Jackson Bailey—also known as one half of Rezzett and for his releases on labels such as Jahtari, Honest Jon's, and EM Records—has released a new work under the name J. Bailey via Good Morning Tapes. This album serves as the original soundtrack for "BÉTON BRUT," a food sculpture exhibition by his partner, the artist Maria Ader. Stepping away from the dub elements characteristic of his previous work as Tapes, he presents an hour-long ambient soundscape that offers a cleansing, restorative experience. Though the instrumentation is minimal, the music is richly expressive, sparking the listener's imagination as it smoothly shifts from the silky, beautiful tones of FM synthesis to an atmosphere that is both mystical and solemn.
