東京を拠点に活動するアンビエント作家 猫町が、カナダ･カルガリー発のLo-Fiビートテープ･レーベル Inner Ocean Records からニューEPをドロップしました。1998年製の愛機 YAMAHA QY100 シーケンサーを使い、長年音楽制作を続けてきたという猫町。PC や DAW は一切使用せず、15年間にわたって QY100 シーケンサーに溜めていた古いシーケンスを駆使し、様々なエフェクトをかけ、サンプルやシンセサイザーを加えて制作された本作。実機だからこそ生まれる、温かみのあるアナログな質感が心地よい仕上がり。チルタイムのお供にどうぞ。

Tokyo-based ambient composer Nekomachi has dropped a new EP on Calgary, Canada-based lo-fi beat tape label Inner Ocean Records. Nekomachi has been producing music for many years using his beloved 1998 Yamaha QY100 sequencer. This album was produced without the use of a PC or DAW, making full use of old sequences accumulated on the QY100 over the past 15 years, applying various effects and adding samples and synthesizers. The warm, analog texture that can only be achieved using a real machine creates a comfortable finish. Perfect for chill time.
