C.O.M.G【TAPE】(+DL) - LeZeppo vs 1008professor

Now in stock: a collaborative album released on March 4, 2018, by Canadian rapper Le Zeppo and Kawasaki-bred producer 1008professor—an effort brought to you by Chill Out Roots Records, a label based in both Kawasaki and Toronto. The album is a highly dramatic concept piece that masterfully fuses two worlds: 1008professor’s signature "Raw & Slow Bap" sound—characterized by dark, gritty beats that channel the texture of 90s boom-bap—and Le Zeppo’s unique artistic vision, which elevates geek culture references and gimmicks into rap. Throughout the album, elements from the *Metal Gear Solid* game series—including characters, settings, dialogue, and radio transmissions—are woven into the tracks as sampling motifs. The project is further enriched by guest appearances from key figures in the Japanese and Canadian indie hip-hop scenes.
