ブラジルを代表するジャズ･ファンク･フュージョン・トリオ Azymuth が、1982年に米国の名門レーベル Milestone Records から発表した通算7枚目のスタジオ･アルバムが入荷いたしました。結成から約10年が経ち、バンドとして最も脂が乗っていた全盛期の録音と評されており、彼らの代名詞である「サンバ･ドイド」と呼ばれる独自の高揚感あるグルーヴと、極上のメロウネスが融合したブラジリアン･フュージョン/ジャズ･ファンクの傑作です。ブラジル音楽界の巨匠 Milton Nascimento に捧げられた、バンド屈指の名曲"Remembering Milton (Lembrando Milton)"(A4)や、サンバのリズムに乗せて Bertrami のエレピが縦横無尽に浮遊する、Azymuth 節が全開の爽快なフュージョン･トラックB1、アルバム･タイトルや、ジャケットのイメージ にも通じる、涼しげで瑞々しいインストゥルメンタル曲(A2)など、魅力的な全7曲を収録しています！

We have just received the seventh studio album by Azymuth—Brazil's premier jazz-funk-fusion trio—originally released in 1982 on the prestigious US label Milestone Records. Recorded when the band was at the peak of its creative powers—roughly a decade after their formation—this album is a masterpiece of Brazilian fusion and jazz-funk. It perfectly blends their signature "Samba Doido" (a unique, euphoric groove) with exquisite mellowness. The seven-track collection includes highlights such as "Remembering Milton (Lembrando Milton)" (A4), a standout tribute to the legendary Milton Nascimento; track B1, an exhilarating fusion number that showcases the classic Azymuth sound with Bertrami’s electric piano floating freely over a samba rhythm; and a cool, refreshing instrumental (A2) that captures the essence of the album's title and cover art.
