脳損傷による言語障害のスペクトラムに由来する名を持つ Aphasiacs は、米デトロイト出身の Bill Corrigan と Nick George からなるユニット。その活動は謎に包まれていますが、2015年に Crash Symbols からリリースされたファーストEPをストックしました。まるで電子音のジャンクの山から引っ張り出してきたような粗削りな音色の混沌としたリズム·パターンの上に、ランダムなドラムとメロディがぽつぽつと乗せられ、終盤にかけてテンポを上げパンキッシュな展開を見せるA3をはじめ、リミックスを含む全6曲を収録。

Aphasiacs, whose name derives from the spectrum of language disorders caused by brain injury, is a unit consisting of Bill Corrigan and Nick George from Detroit, USA. Their activities remain shrouded in mystery, but they released their first EP via Crash Symbols in 2015. Featuring six tracks including the A3 remix, the EP presents chaotic rhythmic patterns with raw, unpolished textures that sound like they were pulled from a junk heap of electronic sounds. Random drums and melodies are scattered sparingly over these patterns, building to a punkish climax as the tempo accelerates towards the end.
