ブラジルを代表するジャズ･ファンク･フュージョン・トリオ Azymuth が、1984年に米国の名門レーベル Milestone Records から発表した通算8枚目のアルバム。単なるフュージョンにとどまらず、エレクトリックなダンス･ナンバーから、高速のブラジリアン･パーカッション（バトゥカーダ）が炸裂するトラックまで、バラエティに富んだ全6曲を収録されています。Azymuth 特有のタイトでファンキーなリズム隊に加え、天才キーボード奏者である José Roberto Bertrami が奏でるエレガントで清涼感あふれるエレピの音色を存分に堪能できる、80年代ブラジリアン･フュージョン/アーバン･グルーヴの傑作です！さらに本作には、世界的女性シンガーの Flora Purim や、トランペット奏者の Marcio Montarroyos といったブラジルの大物ミュージシャンがゲスト参加しています！

This is the eighth album by Azymuth—Brazil's premier jazz-funk-fusion trio—originally released in 1984 on the prestigious U.S. label Milestone Records. Going beyond standard fusion, the album features a diverse collection of six tracks ranging from electric dance numbers to songs exploding with high-speed Brazilian percussion (batucada). It is a masterpiece of 80s Brazilian fusion and urban groove, showcasing Azymuth's signature tight, funky rhythm section alongside the elegant, refreshing electric piano tones of the brilliant keyboardist José Roberto Bertrami. The album also features guest appearances by major Brazilian musicians, including world-renowned vocalist Flora Purim and trumpeter Marcio Montarroyos.
