Gathered Between【TAPE】- Dday one

『Gathered Between』に収録された楽曲群は、もともとDday Oneの2作目『Heavy Migration』の制作後に録音されたものだった。しかし、ハードドライブの故障によりアルバムのデータは失われ、わずかに残された数曲だけが、現在では入手困難なコンピレーション盤に収録されるにとどまった。2015年初頭、当時のラフ・デモを聴き返していたDdayは、記憶の断片だけを頼りに『Gathered Between』を再構築することを決意する。自身のレコード箱を再び掘り起こし、サンプルを再発見。クラシックなサンプラーや独自の技術を駆使し、まるでオーディオ考古学者のように、ビートひとつひとつを再構築していった。古い建物と現代的な建物のあいだを鳥が飛ぶこのアルバムのカバー写真は、自然と建築の融合、そして失われたものを再び見出すという過渡的な精神を象徴している。

The tracks included on Gathered Between were originally recorded after the production of Dday One's second album, Heavy Migration. However, due to a hard drive failure, the album data was lost, and only a handful of surviving songs ended up on a now-hard-to-find compilation album. In early 2015, while revisiting rough demos from that time, Dday resolved to reconstruct Gathered Between relying solely on fragments of memory. He dug back into his record collection, rediscovering samples. Employing classic samplers and his own techniques, he reconstructed each beat, much like an audio archaeologist. The album cover photo, depicting a bird flying between an old building and a modern structure, symbolizes the fusion of nature and architecture, and the transitional spirit of rediscovering what was lost.
