2022年に設立された、インドネシア発のヴェイパー･ウェイヴ系インディー･レーベル Enterprise Records 作品をまとめて入荷いたしました。本作は米国を拠点とする、ホテル shampoo と sunset vignettes の2人のアーティストによるスプリット･アルバム。フランス語で摩天楼、高層ビルを意味するタイトルが冠された本作では、ヴェイパー･ウェイヴの中でも特にレイトナイト･ローファイや、都会的で夜の雰囲気を漂わせるサウンドスケープを展開。どこか懐かしい80年代〜90年代のシティ･ポップやR&B、ファンクなどの音源を独自の解釈でサンプリングし、ピッチを落としたりエフェクトをかけたりすることで、「存在しない過去の都会の夜」を旅しているようなノスタルジーを味わえる作品に仕上がっています。

We have stocked a collection of releases from Enterprise Records, an Indonesian indie label specializing in vaporwave. This particular title is a split album featuring two US-based artists: Hotel Shampoo and Sunset Vignettes. Titled after the French word for "skyscraper" or "high-rise building," the album explores soundscapes that evoke an urban nightlife atmosphere—specifically within the "late-night lo-fi" subgenre of vaporwave. By uniquely sampling and manipulating—through pitch-shifting and effects—sounds from 80s and 90s city pop, R&B, and funk, the artists have crafted a work that evokes a sense of nostalgia, as if one were journeying through the urban nights of a past that never actually existed.
