The 17th installment in the charity cassette series from "Never Sleep"—a Berlin-based independent label and platform dedicated to exploring rave and hardcore (gabber) subculture—has arrived! This release features a historic DJ mix, recorded in 2004 at a legendary club event in the UK. The set showcases "Makina"—a high-speed, high-energy style of hardcore techno that originated in Barcelona and evolved in its own unique way across Northeast England. In this hour-long session, trendsetting DJ Scott weaves together Makina, hardcore, bounce, and trance, joined by scene legends MC Stompin, MC Jet, and MC Nat. The MCs deliver an electrifying performance, hyping up the crowd over the breakneck-speed beats. Fueled by passionate lyrics and a deep love for their local scene—and armed with lightning-fast crossfading and high-tempo anthems—they deliver an authentic underground sound to the late-night rave faithful. All proceeds from this release will be donated to "Macmillan Cancer Support," an organization that has spent over a century supporting cancer patients across the UK. Notably, this same organization also provided vital support to DJ Scott’s mother.
