「完璧なビート」という概念は、おそらく永遠に到達不可能なものかもしれない。それでもDday Oneは、その探求をやめることなく、ビートメイカーたちに**“生涯の目標”**を与え続けてきた。本作は、その執拗な追求の果てに生まれた、思索と成長、そして畏敬の念の結晶である。『Heavy Migration』の基盤となるサンプル制作は2006年末に始まり、伝統楽器や手作り楽器、古いデータ形式から現代の音源まで幅広く収集。特に、民族音楽学（世界的文脈における音楽研究）に関わるレコードを主に使用している。過去作同様、音はサンプリングされ、加工され、緻密に構築された。録音は2007年春から冬にかけて、カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルスにて行われた。DJシャドウ、DJクラッシュら、世界に名を刻むビートメイカーたちの系譜に正式に連なる――

The concept of the “perfect beat” may well be eternally unattainable. Yet Dday One has never ceased his pursuit, continuously giving beatmakers a **“lifelong goal”**. This work is the crystallization of contemplation, growth, and reverence born from the end of that relentless pursuit. The sample creation forming the foundation of ‘Heavy Migration’ began in late 2006, gathering a wide range of sources from traditional and handmade instruments to old data formats and modern sound sources. It primarily utilizes records related to ethnomusicology (the study of music within a global context). As with past works, the sounds were sampled, processed, and meticulously constructed. Recording took place in Los Angeles, California, from spring to winter 2007. He now formally joins the lineage of globally renowned beatmakers like DJ Shadow and DJ Krush—
