ELUCID, a key rapper in the NY underground hip-hop scene known for his duo Armand Hammer with Billy Woods, and veteran Swiss producer Sebb Bash, whose 2018 instrumental masterpiece released on Alchemist's ALC label was also excellent, have teamed up for a collaborative album released on Backwoodz Studioz! The album features a gritty beat that blends the raw, powerful boom-bap of the late 80s with elements of jazz and psychedelia, over which ELUCID's hypnotic and abstract rap is fused like a collage. The result is a dense and special work where the rapper and producer have pushed each other's talents to the limit. Guest appearances include his partner Billy Woods, veteran rappers Estee Nack and Breeze Brewin, and contemporary jazz master Shabaka Hutchings!
