This release features rare, unedited interviews recorded in April 1996—a time when the East Coast-West Coast rivalry was intensifying following his move to Death Row Records—including appearances on the San Francisco radio station KMEL’s program "Westside Radio." In his own words, 2Pac speaks candidly about his raw emotions and thoughts regarding media backlash, his personal background, Dr. Dre’s departure from the label, and the escalating conflicts within the hip-hop world. The collection also includes previously unreleased tracks by 2Pac, as well as tribute songs such as Naughty By Nature’s "Mourn You Till I Join You." Far more than a mere compilation of hits, this is a documentary-style tribute created to preserve the philosophy and authentic voice of 2Pac—a rapper, poet, and social rebel—for future generations.
