米ロサンゼルスの名門インストゥルメンタル･レーベル Cold Busted から、カナダはモントリオールを拠点とするプロデューサー Karmawin によるデビュー･アルバムがドロップ。タフなヒップホップ･ビートの上に、柔らかに揺れるボサノヴァのエッセンスや艶やかなボーカル、世界各地の音楽要素がモザイク画のように織り込まれており、ある曲では夏の終わりの夕暮れの海辺を、またある曲ではノスタルジックな夜の街並みを連想させ、耳にするだけで心地よい旅に出たような気分を味わえる全14曲を収録。タイトルはモントリオール移住後の「幸運（Lucky）」、鮮やかな「アートワーク（Tomatoes）」、インスピレーションの源である「モントリオール島（Island）」を表しているそう。

The prestigious Los Angeles-based instrumental label Cold Busted has released the debut album from Montreal-based producer Karmawin. Across these 14 tracks, elements such as the gentle sway of bossa nova, alluring vocals, and musical influences from around the globe are woven like a mosaic over robust hip-hop beats; the music evokes scenes ranging from a seaside at dusk at summer's end to nostalgic cityscapes at night, offering a listening experience that feels like embarking on a pleasant journey. The title reflects "luck" (Lucky) following his move to Montreal, the vibrant "artwork" (Tomatoes), and the "Island" of Montreal—his source of inspiration.
