NYのラジオ局 WBLS で、ヒップホップ史の礎を築いた Mr. Magic と名プロデューサーの Marley Marl が放送していた伝説の番組「Rap Attack」から派生した大人気ヒップホップ･コンピレーション･アルバムの貴重なデッドストック･テープをまとめて入荷いたしました！1986年にリリースされた第2弾にあたる本作には、ロックとヒップホップを融合させて世界的大ヒットとなった Run-D.M.C. の”Walk This Way”(A1)や、のちのサンプリング芸術に多大な影響を与えた Eric B. Featuring Rakim のデビュー曲など、歴史的な重要曲を多数収録。当時のリアルなヒップホップ･シーンを切り取ったエレクトロ/オールドスクールから、のちのゴールデン･エイジへと繋がるハードコア･ヒップホップの黎明期の熱気がそのままパッケージングされています！

We have just received a batch of rare deadstock cassette tapes from the smash-hit hip-hop compilation series *Rap Attack*—a spin-off of the legendary radio show hosted on New York's WBLS by hip-hop pioneer Mr. Magic and renowned producer Marley Marl. Released in 1986, this second volume features a host of historically significant tracks, including Run-D.M.C.'s global smash "Walk This Way" (A1)—which fused rock and hip-hop—and the debut single from Eric B. featuring Rakim, a track that profoundly influenced the future art of sampling. These tapes perfectly capture the energy of the era, spanning everything from the electro and old-school sounds that defined the authentic hip-hop scene of the time to the dawn of the hardcore hip-hop that would pave the way for the genre's "Golden Age."
