We have just received a stock of "deadstock" cassette tapes of the second studio album by Queen Latifah, a pioneer among female rappers, originally released on September 3, 1991! This was her final album with the prestigious Tommy Boy Records and marked a crucial turning point in her musical career, showcasing a significant expansion of her creative range and artistic control. For this project, she enlisted a diverse lineup of producers who were driving the scene at the time—including Soulpower Productions, Naughty By Nature, K-Cut (of Main Source), and Louie Vega—to masterfully blend genres such as R&B, funk, reggae, New Jack Swing, and house.
