カナダはモントリオールを拠点に活動する実力派ビートメイカー aNTOJE が、2022年3月に名門 Leaving Records からリリースしたフル･アルバムをストック！一聴すると、どこか懐かしいチップ･チューンやビデオ･ゲームのサウンドトラックを思わせるキャッチーで遊び心のあるビートですが、その展開は予測不能。奇妙なトラックの上を無数の音が縦横無尽に飛び交う実験的なリズムは、なんとすべて TikTok から拾い集めた音の断片をマッシュアップ・サンプリングして構築したものだそうです。日常のノイズや奇妙な音声、ミームの残響といったカオスな素材を、aNTOJE 特有の型破りなビートへと見事に昇華しております。アルバム全体で全19曲、収録時間は約23分と非常にコンパクトで、1曲あたり30秒～1分半程度で構成されており、SNS時代のスピード感を体現するかのように次から次へと新しい音の実験が目まぐるしく展開していくユニークなビート作品です。

At first listen, the beats are catchy and playful—reminiscent of nostalgic chiptunes or video game soundtracks—yet their progression remains entirely unpredictable. These experimental rhythms, where a myriad of sounds dart across the sonic landscape, are actually constructed entirely from fragments of audio sourced and sampled from TikTok. aNTOJE masterfully transforms this chaotic raw material—everyday ambient noise, bizarre vocal clips, and the lingering echoes of internet memes—into his own signature, unconventional style of beat-making. Spanning 19 tracks over a compact 23-minute runtime, with each piece lasting roughly 30 seconds to a minute and a half, the album embodies the rapid-fire pace of the social media era; it is a unique collection of beats that unfolds as a dizzying, ever-evolving series of sonic experiments.
