Joyer, a duo based on the East Coast of the United States, is led by brothers Nick and Shane Sullivan. Their 2024 release "Night Songs" and earlier demo collections have showcased brooding slowcore with a rustic, home-recorded feel straight out of DUSTER. But this latest album sees them expand their approach with the addition of Henry, guitarist for fellow US indie rising star SLOW PULP, as producer! The transformation from their previous hazy, ephemeral arrangements to a dignified, agonizing performance under the sun speaks volumes about JOYER's strength. A must-listen for indie fans.
