鹿児島出身で現在は東京を拠点に活動している新鋭プロデューサー sen whoo によるビートテープが Jonah`s Ilka 主催レーベル Floatin of Soiree からドロップ！これまでに自身の SoundCloud に数々のブートレグを公開、多数の作品に参加している要注目プロデューサーです。本作では主に60-70年代のフィリー･ソウルをサンプリングして構築されたビート、全12曲を収録。華麗なストリングスや柔らかくて甘いメロディをふんだんに取り入れつつ、早回しで録音してピッチを引き延ばしたり、テープ･コンプで歪みとゆらぎを付加されたサンプルは、都会的でありながらどこか懐かしさを感じさせる。街の喧噪がそれぞれのリズムで流れる、劣化してざらついた音とズレたドラムが人間らしい。ジャケット/アートワークは地元の盟友である BLUE STAMP が手掛ける。

A beat tape by sen whoo, a rising producer originally from Kagoshima and now based in Tokyo, has dropped on Jonah's Ilka's label, Floatin of Soiree! Sen whoo is a producer worth paying attention to, having previously released numerous bootlegs on his SoundCloud and participated in numerous projects. This album features 12 tracks, primarily constructed from samples of '60s and '70s Philly soul. Abundantly incorporating gorgeous strings and soft, sweet melodies, the samples, recorded at high speed to stretch the pitch and tape-compressed to add distortion and fluctuation, create a sense of urbanity yet a certain nostalgia. The hustle and bustle of the city flows with its own rhythm, with aged, rough sounds and out-of-sync drums creating a human-like quality. The jacket/artwork was created by local ally BLUE STAMP.
