Positive State of Mind【TAPE】- The Dramatics

We have just received a stock of "deadstock" cassette tapes of the album released on April 15, 1989, by The Dramatics, the soul vocal group hailing from Detroit, USA! This album stands as a landmark release for fans, marking the group's return to Volt Records—the prestigious Stax subsidiary that fueled their golden era. Moving beyond their classic, rich "sweet soul" sound, the group evolved into a lighter, more mature "urban soul" style that incorporates elements of late-80s electro-disco, boogie, and New Jack Swing. The eight-track collection includes the title track (A1)—a masterpiece featuring exquisite vocal harmonies produced by Don Davis, the ace producer who steered the group through its heyday—as well as a stunning cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s timeless classic "Bridge Over Troubled Water" (B4), reimagined in The Dramatics' signature rich soul ballad style.
