ニューヨーク州バッファロー出身のラッパー Westside Gunn による2020年に発表された傑作アルバムがテープとなって到着！異母兄弟の Conway the Machine、彼らの従兄弟の Benny the Butcher と共に極悪音楽レーベル Griselda を立ち上げ、多くのミックステープを通じてヒップホップ･マニアの間で知名度を上げ、さらには JAY-Z や Eminem の目にも止まり一躍アンダーグラウンドを越えてその存在を世界に知らしめた彼。Off-White のデザイナー Virgil Abloh がジャケット･デザインを手掛けており、ダ・ヴィンチの『Salvator Mundi』落札シーンを引用したイントロに始まる本作では、ファッションや美術界への接続を強く打ち出しながらも、その核心にはバッファロー地区の凶悪なストリートを映し出した生々しいラップを披露。プロデューサーには DJ Premier、the Alchemist、DJ Muggs が名を連ね、Griselda の仲間たちの他、Joey Badass、Tyler, the Creator、Freddie Gibbs、Roc Marcianoらが参加！

Buffalo, New York rapper Westside Gunn's 2020 masterpiece album has arrived on tape! He founded the wicked music label Griselda with his half-brother Conway the Machine and their cousin Benny the Butcher, and rose to fame among hip-hop enthusiasts through numerous mixtapes. He even caught the eye of JAY-Z and Eminem, quickly transcending the underground and reaching global recognition. Featuring a cover design by Off-White designer Virgil Abloh, the album opens with an intro referencing the auction scene for Da Vinci's Salvator Mundi. While the album strongly emphasizes its connection to the fashion and art worlds, at its core, it showcases raw raps that reflect the brutal street life of Buffalo. Producers include DJ Premier, the Alchemist, and DJ Muggs, and Griselda's friends, as well as Joey Badass, Tyler, the Creator, Freddie Gibbs, and Roc Marciano, all of whom participated!
