Stocking Mac DeMarco's acclaimed second album Salad Days, released in 2014 via Captured Tracks! Hailing from British Columbia, Canada, and now based in Los Angeles, this singer-songwriter crafted this work at his home at the young age of 23, amidst an intense live schedule promoting his debut. The lead single “Passing Out Pieces” (B1) features him singing “I didn't hesitate to share, handing out pieces of myself...” while melting into the pleasantly swaying psychedelic organ chords, conveying the essence of “being Mac” to listeners amidst the frenzy of his rapidly growing career. Furthermore, three of the tracks are dedicated to his longtime partner Kiera McNally, making this a deeply personal work.
