日本のアンビエント･ミュージックのパイオニアである吉村弘による1986年リリースの名作が、西海岸 Light in the Attic 系列のレーベル、Temporal Drift から嬉しい公式リイシュー！住宅メーカーであるミサワホームの総合研究所から「新築住宅の環境づくりのための音のインテリア」として依頼され制作されたという本作。窓の外から聞こえる都会の雑雑としたノイズと混ざり合うことで、偶然性との調和が生まれ、聴くたびに新しい響きを発見できるように設計されており、吉村弘自身は本作を「足音やエアコンの振動、コーヒーカップを叩くスプーンの音と同じ家族（生活音）」として聴かれることを推奨している至高のサウンド･アート作品です。Jカードには、オリジナル盤のプロデュースを手掛けた塩川博義氏による新たなライナーノーツ、吉村自身によるオリジナル解説を英語版で掲載！

This masterpiece, originally released in 1986 by Japanese ambient music pioneer Hiroshi Yoshimura, is making a welcome return via an official reissue from Temporal Drift—a label affiliated with the West Coast’s Light in the Attic. The album was created at the request of the housing manufacturer Misawa Homes' research institute, intended to serve as "sound interior design" for the living environments of new homes. Designed to harmonize with the element of chance by blending with the chaotic urban noise drifting in from outside the window, the music reveals new sonic nuances with every listen. Yoshimura himself envisioned the work as belonging to the same family of sounds as everyday domestic noises—such as footsteps, air conditioner vibrations, or the clinking of a spoon against a coffee cup—making it a sublime piece of sound art. The J-card features new liner notes by Hiroyoshi Shiokawa (who produced the original release) and an English translation of Yoshimura’s original commentary.
