ベルリンを拠点とする Alex Kassian + Hiroaki OBA によるデュオ Opal Sunn が主催するレーベル Planet Sundae よりミックステープ･シリーズ”Tales from Planet Sundae”の第2弾をストック！手掛けたのは、インドにルーツを持ち、ロンドンで生まれたのち、イタリア/アルバニア/サウジアラビア/ドバイ/ナイジェリアと様々な国で育ったという、サイケ･バンド Flamingods のドラマー兼オールラウンド･プレイヤーであり、アジアン･アンダーグラウンド･コレクティブ Daytimers の一員としても知られる Mera Bhai こと Karthik Poduval。インドのカルナータカ音楽からトロピカリア、さらにはアブストラクトなジャズや、70年代のディスコ、80年代/90年代のアシッド･ハウス/デトロイト･テクノなど幅広い音楽から影響を受けた彼ならではの唯一無二の選曲が詰まった53分にわたるミックステープです。

The second installment of the mixtape series "Tales from Planet Sundae" has arrived from Planet Sundae, a label run by Opal Sunn, the Berlin-based duo consisting of Alex Kassian and Hiroaki OBA! The mixtape was created by Karthik Poduval, also known as Mera Bhai, the drummer and all-round player for the psychedelic band Flamingods, who was born in London with Indian roots and grew up in Italy, Albania, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Nigeria. He is also known as a member of the Asian underground collective Daytimers. The 53-minute mixtape is filled with his unique selection of tracks, influenced by a wide range of music, from Indian Karnataka music to tropicalia, abstract jazz, 70s disco, and 80s and 90s acid house and Detroit techno.
