This 2013 release by German electronic musician Marsen Jules on the long-established New York electronica/ambient label 12k features a single, uninterrupted 47-minute track on CD/digital. The entire piece is constructed from a single phrase sampled from an old jazz record. This single phrase is then split into three audio signals, each played as a loop with a different period, resulting in a remarkably clear and warm drone reminiscent of pure sine waves and harmonics.
