TRUE MAGIC【TAPE】- salute

SkrillexやFred Again..、Daphniらも称賛する、オーストリア・ウィーンで生まれ育ち、現在はマンチェスターを拠点に活動するハウス界の超新星salute。よりコラボレーティブなアプローチを採用し、田舎に家を借りて仲間たちとアルバム制作に臨んだという本作。ヴィジュアルや疾走感溢れるサウンドからも感じられるように、JDMカルチャーや古い日本の車の広告からインスピレーションを受け、「TRUE MAGIC」という架空のレースで日本の旧車を走らせるというアルバムのコンセプトを作り上げました。Rina SawayamaをフィーチャーしたA2は、日本が誇るフュージョン·バンド、カシオペアの名曲「ASAYAKE」サンプリング！その他にもDisclosureとの強力UKガレージ(A4)や国内からなかむらみなみをフィーチャーしたA6などキラー·チューン揃いです！

Praised by the likes of Skrillex and Fred Again. The album is the result of a more collaborative approach, with Salute renting a house in the countryside to work on the album with a group of friends. The concept for the album was inspired by JDM culture and old Japanese car ads, as evidenced by the visuals and the fast-paced sound, and was created by driving old Japanese cars in a fictional race called "TRUE MAGIC. The A2 track, featuring Rina Sawayama, samples the classic “ASAYAKE” by Cassiopeia, a fusion band that is the pride of Japan! Other killer tunes on the album include a strong UK garage tune (A4) with Disclosure and A6 featuring Minami Nakamura from Japan!
