Lowertown, the indie-pop duo consisting of Olivia Osby and Avshalom Weinberg, have returned to their roots in Atlanta from New York, and have left their major indie label Dirty Hit to release their fourth album in May 2026 on Run For Cover / Summer Shade. Overcoming numerous difficulties such as burnout from relentless touring, parting ways with their label, creative stagnation, and strained relationships, they have created this album entirely by themselves, handling everything from songwriting and composition to recording, production, and mixing. Based on the concept of Dale the duck and his friends standing up against LBH, a tyrannical media corporation that promotes division and isolation for the sake of control, the album distances itself from commercialism and fiercely defends the purity and sincerity of their art, resulting in a true alternative rock/bedroom pop masterpiece!
